Groundwater hydrology of reclamation areas near the south-western Nile Delta, Egypt

Many former desert areas in Egypt are now developed using groundwater for irrigation (so-called "reclamation areas"). In this project, the renewability of the groundwater resource in such areas near the Nile Delta is to be assessed. The main goal is to quantify the water recharge from the Nile Delta aquifer.
