Current research interests:

Ground-Penetrating Radar measurements of field-scale soil moisture for remote sensing applications, currently in the framework of the following projects:

  • RECAST Urumqi, in cooperation with the XIEG, CAS, Urumqi, V.R. China. Some impressions from a recent field campaign to the Urumqi region in 2010 can be found over at the RECAST website.

  • Watershed Allied Telemetry Experimental Research (WATER), in cooperation with the CAREERI, CAS, Lanzhou, V.R. China.

Former projects:

  • Longterm monitoring of permafrost at Svalbard, in cooperation with the AWI Potsdam (2007).
